Registration for the 2008 Job Fair will be completed electronically through EaseLaw, an internet based matching program powered by
E Campus Recruiter. To register, please visit www.easelaw.com/ccba. By utilizing this online registration program, employers will
be able to input and update their own recruiting contact information, create their own user name and password, and enter their
specific hiring criteria. Additionally, Employers will be able to review and print student resumes and select their candidates
(and ranked alternates) electronically. Registered employers will be sent reminder and confirmation emails throughout the registration
period. The deadline for online employer registration is March 15, 2008. Please Note: Employers that participated in the 2007
Job Fair must re-register online for the 2008 Job Fair. |
Students will be afforded the opportunity to have their resumes submitted to 25 employers. Employers will have the opportunity
to pre-select one-half of their interview schedule. With pre-selection, each employer is guaranteed to meet those students it
considers most promising amongst the students expressing an interest in that particular, employer. In addition to pre-selecting
students, employers will select 20 ranked alternates. The remaining one-half of the employer interview schedule will be filled
based upon the student bidding process. Employers will be electronically notified of schedule cancellations as they occur in the
months leading up to the Job Fair. |
Each schedule allows for 16 interviews. Each interview is 20 minutes in length. Students will not be scheduled for back to back
interviews to ensure that they will be on time for their next interview. Interviews begin at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude at
3:45 p.m.; with breaks in both the morning and afternoon. There will be sit-down luncheon for each employer representative
attending the will be expected to attend the luncheon from 12 noon to 1 p.m. |
The 2008 CCBA Job Fair Committee will be hosting our 25th Anniversary Networking Reception which will allow registered students
and employers to mingle on an informal basis from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Students interested in your firm/organization who
did not receive a formal interview with your firm/organization will be given the opportunity to meet your representatives and
provide them with their resume at this time. Each employer is expected to attend this reception which is an integral part of this
year’s Job Fair. Please make all travel arrangements considering a 6:00 p.m. departure from the Embassy Suites Hotel. |
Employers that register beyond the March 15, 2008 deadline may not be afforded the opportunity to pre-select students with whom
they wish to interview. Please submit a check for your registration fee, payable to the Cook County Bar Association, at your
earliest convenience to Lucille A. Blackburn at Greene and Letts, 111 W. Washington Street, Suite 1650, Chicago, Illinois 60602.
Please note that Employers will not be able to view student resumes until we confirm receipt of their registration fee. |
In the unlikely event that an employer wishes to cancel their participation in the 2008 CCBA Minority Law Student Job Fair,
they may do so without penalty until May 31, 2008. After May 31, 2008, employers wishing to cancel their participation may do so;
however, their registration fee will not be refunded.
