Employers

Registration for the 2010 Job Fair will be completed online through Simplicity, an internet-based interview scheduling program.  Online registration allows employers to input their own profiles, firm description, hiring criteria and office locations for positions.  Additionally, employers will be able to review and print student resumes and pre-select preferred candidates and alternates electronically.  Registered employers will be sent reminder and confirmation e-mails throughout the registration period.  To register, please visit www.law-ccba-csm.symplicity.com/.  Please note: Employers that participated in the 2009 Job Fair must register again online for the 2010 Job Fair.  Returning employers, however, may use their same user names and passwords from 2009.

Students registered for the Job Fair will have the opportunity to submit their resumes to 25 employers, and employers will have the ability to view the resume of every registered student that wishes to interview with them.  Each employer’s schedule contains 16 interview slots.  Employers will pre-select one-half of their interview schedule(s) and rank 20 alternates.  With pre-selection, each employer is guaranteed to meet those students it considers most promising amongst the students expressing an interest in that particular employer.  The remaining one-half of the employer interview schedule will be filled based upon the student bidding process.

Interviews will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude at 3:40 p.m.  Each interview will be 20 minutes in length and students will not be scheduled for back-to-back interviews to ensure that they will be on time for their next interview.  There will be a morning and afternoon break.  Breakfast will be provided from 6:30 a.m. until 8:15 a.m., and lunch will be provided from 11:30 p.m. until 12:30 p.m. for all employers.  The 2010 Job Fair will conclude with an Open House Reception from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Students interested in your firm/organization who did not receive a formal interview with your firm/organization will be given the opportunity to meet your representatives and provide them with their resume at this time.  Each employer is expected to attend this reception which is an integral part of this year’s Job Fair.  Please make all travel arrangements considering a 5:30 p.m. departure from the Embassy Suites Hotel.

The registration fees for the Job Fair are as follows: $300 for public interest organizations and/or government agencies; $600 for small and medium-sized firms/corporations (fewer than 85 attorneys); and $1,000 for large firms/corporations (85 attorneys or more).  Employers that wish to interview with more than 16 candidates may request additional interview schedules.  The registration fees for each additional schedule is $250.00 for public interest organizations and/or government agencies; $350.00 for small and medium-sized firms/corporations; and $500.00 for large firms/corporations.  Employers who register and submit payment by March 15, 2010 will receive a 10% discount off of their registration fees.

In the unlikely event that an employer wishes to cancel their participation in the 2010 CCBA Minority Law Student Job Fair, they may do so without penalty until May 31, 2010. After May 31, 2010, employers wishing to cancel their participation may do so; however, their registration fee will not be refunded.
